Katie Holmes and Jake Gyllenhaal – there’s a couple you wouldn’t expect. Grazia Magazine is reporting that Holmes, fresh off her divorce from Tom Cruise, and Gyllenhaal, after months of being single, have been seen enjoying each other’s company in New York City.

The magazine also claims that the pair recently enjoyed a fancy date at Gyllenhaal’s apartment in NYC, and they have been appearing more and more loved up each time they are spotted out. Grazia also claims Holmes’ Dawson’s Creek co-star is behind the relationship, with Grazia’s source saying, “Josh has been the mastermind behind this romance.”
The source also added, “Katie says that they have tons in common and Jake has already been to see her in Dead Accounts, plus she has been over to his apartment in the West Village for dinner."

Holmes has just recently finalized her divorce from Cruise, whereas Gyllenhaal’s last public relationship was with young pop-star Taylor Swift. While it wouldn’t be odd that the two were going out, despite a slight age difference, the source doesn’t seem to be completely legitimate. If Holmes and Gyllenhaal were really seen around in New York City, there should have been more rumors circulating around the tabloids about a possible hook-up between the two.
