While there have been a lot of people who feel that the time is now right to give The X Factor a break a while and take the show off the air for at least a year or two, Simon Cowell has insisted that he has no intention of doing so and that he wants to continue running the show for as long as possible. Well, Simon and co. are going to have a very busy build up to The X Factor this year, finding new stars to be involved in the show.
It was recently revealed that Olly Murs has decided to quit as the co-host of he X Factor in order to focus on his own music career, following his co-host Caroline Flack out the door, which means that a new host will be needed to replace the outgoing duo. Well, it seems that former glamour model Katie Price has put her name forward as the possible new The X Factor host, telling Simon Cowell to give her a chance.
Katie took to her official Twitter account to say, "I would defo present X Factor @ITV @SimonCowell @TheXFactor now that would be interesting." We are sure that Simon Cowell would not want to take such a big gamble on someone who really does not have the experience of presenting such a big show, but stranger things have happened.
Meanwhile, it looks like the bookies favourite to become the new host of The X Factor is Emma Willis, although she already hosts The Voice and Big Brother, so will probably be too busy and too expensive. Other names being linked include former X Factor contestant Rylan Clarke, as well as former host Dermot O' Leary.
Who would you like to see as the new host of The X Factor?
