There are a lot of big sporting events that take place on a regular basis but it is fair to say that the biggest sporting event of the year is the NFL Super Bowl. Every year we see a very big half time show and this year we will see Katy Perry performing, something which she has admitted she is already feeling rather nervous about.
Perry appears on the cover of ESPN and, on the inside of the publication she tells them, Honestly? I feel like I’ve outdreamt my dream. I don’t get nervous about much, but I’ll definitely be a little tingly inside that day."
Not finished there though, Katy also went on to empathise with the hard work the players put into their profession, as she too has had to work hard to get to where she is today. Perry added, "When I was singing into a hairbrush, I had no idea the incredible amount of work that would be asked of me in order to be at this level."
There has been a lot of interest surrounding the Katy Perry Super Bowl performance recently, since there was a lot of talk about what the singer had to do in order to land the gig. It was claimed that Katy had to pay a large amount of money to the organisers in order to play the show, which Perry has since insisted is completely untrue.
The NFL Super Bowl XLIX will take place on Sunday, February 1 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona. Katy Perry will be joined in her performance by special guest star Lenny Kravitz.
