Keanu Reeves has already mentioned in the past that he would one day like to direct his own movie and now it seems that he is edging ever closer to making that a reality. Keanu is lining up the financing to start making the kung fu movie The Man of Tai Chi, which he will also star in.
Reeves is set to play the baddy in the movie and he has admitted that it will not hold back on the puch ups. Keanu explained, “There’s 18 fights. We’ve timed it out. It’s about 40 minutes of fighting. I want to make a good, solid kung fu movie. Good story, good plot — but let’s get some good kung fu going!”
Now it has been mentioned that China Film Group and Village Roadshow Pictures are moving ahead with the financing of the project, which is likely to be filmed in both English and Mandarin. Keanu Reeves currently has quite a clear schedule so The Man of Tai Chi could begin production as early as next year.
