Keira Knightley is currently promoting her lead role in ‘Anna Karenina’, and in an interview with MTV, talks about dying in movies, whether she would do a Fifty Shades of Grey role, and whether she would choose to be a Bond girl or be a part of Star Wars: Episode 7.

When Keira talks about her characters often dying in films, she says, “You know, my great aunt Rose, she’d always say, when she watched a film, ‘Ohh, didn’t she die nice.’ So I did actually have that going through my head when I did this death scene – I was like, ‘Ohh, I have to doe nice.’ Yeah, it’s a big badge of honor [laughs]."
Keira also talks about how you don’t normally find characters that are different and not relatable in huge blockbuster films, and that’s why she often tries to shy away from the big ‘blockbuster-type films’, as she does try to find characters to play that she would not necessarily relate to. The interviewer does mention that the one obvious exception to that rule is the ‘Dark Knight Series’ and Chris Nolan films in general, and Keira mentions that she has indeed met Chris Nolan – “Yes, I did [meet him], but sort of in general talks. But yeah, I have met him, he’s a fascinating man. And I mean, he makes wonderful films. And I loved what he did with all of those films. And what Sam Mendes did with ‘Skyfall’, you know it’s taking those kinds of massive films and going, ‘Look, you can really have some interesting characters.”

When Keira is asked whether she would rather be a Bond girl or in Star Wars: Episode 7, Keira hesitates before saying, “Can I be a Judi Dench Bond girl? I’d like to be a Judi Dench Bond girl. That would be fun.”
