Keira Knightley and Sam Worthington worked together on the movie Last Night and it appears that Keira is not Sam’s biggest fan. Worthington has admitted that he brought it on himself and that it will take a long time before Knightley stops thinking he is arrogant.
Sam explained, “Keira’s amazing – a consummate professional. We played a young married couple who have become complacent. For the first week of rehearsals I got to know her, we had barbecues and stuff, but I was struggling to get into the role. I thought if I treat her with complacency – like the character in the movie – that might help.”
He added, “So in the second week, I became complacent. Actually, I was a bit of a jerk. I didn’t turn up to rehearsals. Why? I couldn’t be bothered. And I picked fights with the director. In my head, I thought my character should be a bit of a jerk.”
Worthington concluded, “Keira started to hate me. But to me that meant things were going well: we nailed our relationship right there. That is dedication. It was stupid. I’m not very good at turning it on and off. It will take a long time for her to stop seeing me as arrogant.” Sam Worthington can next be seen in Texas Killing Fields, which is released on October 14.
