After a short break and vacation since she got married, Keira Knightley is jumping back into the swing of things with new roles and attachments. The Hollywood Reporter has recently announced that Fox Searchlight has just picked up the rights to 'The Other Typist' as a starring vehicle for Keira Knightley.
'The Other Typist' is actually a book from debut author Suzanne Rindell, and Keira is actually set to produce and star in the film. The synopsis of the book provided by THR is, "It revolves around Rose, a lonely and isolated typist in a police precinct who strikes up a friendship with a beautiful and mysterious co-worker who introduces her to the glamorous and forbidden underworld of 1920s New York."
The novel has gotten extremely positive reviews among critics, and it's being described as combining, "a dollop of Alfred Hitchcock, a dollop of Patricia Highsmith, [and] some Great Gatsby flourishes.”
Keira most recently starred in 'Anna Karenina' alongside Aaron Johnson and Jude Law, and she will next be seen alongside Chris Pine in Jack Ryan. Although Keira is still best known for her role as Elizabeth Swan in the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, she's certainly made sure to pick diverse and interesting roles after that, and 'The Other Typist' is no different.
