While all of the talk surrounding the forthcoming, new season of American Idol has been about the feud between Nicki Minaj and Mariah Carey, many have forgotten that Keith Urban has also joined the judges panel. Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj have been at war with each other
When asked by PEOPLE how he copes with the big personalities on the show, Urban joked, “Yeah, yeah, Randy [Jackson] and Ryan [Seacrest] are huge personalities. I do my best to keep them civil. Oh, and Mariah and Nicki are in there, too.”
He added, “First of all, it's four passionate people who really care about the artists. Secondly, it's four people who just got thrown onto a dance floor without any sort of choreography and were told 'dance together.' So some toes get stepped on – and we're figuring it out.”
