While we are used to seeing the older generation of action heroes in The Expendables movies, with even more aging stars linked to the third instalment of the franchise, Sylvester Stallone has previously stated that he wants to bring some younger faces on board, to continue carrying the franchise in the future.
While names such as Nicolas Cage, Jackie Chan, Wesley Snipes and Milla Jovovich have all been linked to The Expendables 3, it seems that Stallone is also beginning to get his younger stars on board, as they slowly begin to replace the old boys of the previous movies.
One such younger star, who has been in talks for a role in The Expendables 3, is former Twilight star Kellan Lutz. The Expendables 3 has plans to begin shooting next month and it is expected that the complete cast for the film will be confirmed in the coming weeks.
The Expendables 3 will see the return of the aging faces of Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, Bruce Willis and Dolph Lundgren, to name just a few. Production is set to begin on The Expendables 3 next month, while a release date for the movie is set for August 15, 2014.
