Kelly Clarkson has said that her career as a superstar singer has gotten in the way of her romantic life. Kelly told USA Today: "Obviously it's really hard to date when I'm on four different continents in a week, even if I do meet a great guy, I ain't ever gonna see him. There's only so much you can do with Skype!"
"I've never been in love," Kelly admitted. "I've never experienced certain things, and I think that's because I have this side of me that is shut off. Because I haven't found anybody yet to open to that I feel like, 'OK, you're worth breaking down that wall for.' I've never found that." However, the singer does hope to get married one day, saying that she's like to wed in her late 30's. Kelly is currently 29, so that gives her plenty of time!
And the reason why she wants to wait that long? "Statistically, if you wait that long, you're not going to get divorced," she said.
Beyond romance, Kelly, currently enjoying the success of her latest single, "Mr. Know It All", explained how she's managed to avoid the trap many successful stars have fallen into: "I have no controversy," she told the paper. "You don't see me in rehab, or you don't see me coming out with my hey-haw showing. There's not much to report. So when anything little is reported, it's like 'Oh, my God, she wasn't wearing makeup!'"
