Singer Kelly Clarkson was the first person to ever win American Idol and the 30-year-old insists that she has not changed since she won it. Kelly says that she is still very much the same person and still turns up to her rehearsals without worrying too much what she looks like.

Clarkson said to the BBC, “I am still completely the same. That's what people always say when I run into [the people] from Idol. I still show up in curlers with no make-up on and slippers looking like a hot mess for rehearsals! Usually the girls are all done up and I'm like, 'It's rehearsals! I'll do that for the show!' I'm the same girl.” Kelly then went on to talk about her role as a guest mentor on The Voice and gave her views on singers being judged by their looks.
She added, “Oh I think it’s been going on for years, that's nothing new and that's very much the industry. And that's why it's a breath of fresh air with The Voice. It's just exciting. You turn round and it's this little white dude and he sounds like a big black soulful man. And you think, 'Oh, I would never have thought that's gonna come out of you!' That's what's so captivating about the idea.”
