Kevin started his acting career in a single episode of All That (2005) in the role of Mark. He went on to play minor parts in the movie Ruthless (2007); and as a delivery kid in the TV series The Office (2007). He was slowly gaining exposure as an actor.
Things began to pick up for Kevin McHale as he was cast in more episodes of series such as Zoey 101 (2007-8) and True Blood (2008), giving him more exposure to audiences, and allowing him to show his ability to provide support to the cast and crew of the films he was involved in.
