We have seen a lot of big name movie stars deciding to make the move to the small screen in recent years and it seems that actor Kevin Spacey might just have the answer as to why this is happening. Kevin himself has taken a step back from his movie career to star in the hit television series House of Cards and he has revealed why he has chosen to do so.
Kevin Spacey is a huge name in Hollywood and has appeared in a lot of big movies over the years, winning two Oscars along the way. Kevin has now revealed that the reason he has chosen to do less movie work is because he keeps getting offered awful roles by movie makers who just want to use his name to help elevate their movie some more.
Spacey told the Hollywood Reporter, "You'd be shocked. There are a lot of people out there who offer roles to actors because they'll elevate their movie to a place the movie would never reach. They offer them a s**tload of money for a crap part, but it doesn't make the movie any better. And I'm not interested in elevating someone's crap movie. Unless it's Martin Scorsese, and it's a really significant role, f**k off."
While Kevin Spacey has put in some very impressive performances in the Netflix original series House of Cards, he will return to the big screen with the upcoming movie sequel Horrible Bosses 2, which will see him reprise his role as Dave Harken. Horrible Bosses 2 will open on November 26 in the US, before then hitting the big screen in the UK on November 28.
