Following Roberto Mancini confirming that Tevez days at Manchester City are numbered, the City chairman, Khaldoon al Mubarak is expected to help force through a move for Tevez.
Khaldoon al Mubarak is a saviour for City and helped put out many fires in his short time at the club. Having guided the club into the Champions League in such a short space of time, he won’t be impressed with Carlos Tevez refusing to play last night despite being on the bench, which placed Manchester City at a huge disadvantage.
Roberto Mancini couldn’t of been more enraged by his once star striker, as he focused in on Tevez rather than the poor away result, he said "He is finished. He refused to go on. I can't accept this. He won't play with me again. I don't want another situation like tonight, never. With me he is finished. In the next few days, I will speak with the chairman Khaldoon al Mubarak. Do you think a player can do this at Bayern Munich, Milan or Manchester United? Never.”
Roberto Mancini went onto make another valid point about how confusing it was that Tevez will pick up his wage but then refuse to play saying "If a player earns a lot of money to play for Manchester City in this competition and refuses to play, then he can never play for us again."
Many believe that Carlos Tevez is angling for a move earlier than January and has no interest in being involved with the team set-up at City, and last night he was executing part of that plan.
Khaldoon al Mubarak is expected to make some hard decisions now, but he has been a complete revelation since coming to City, and with this club destined for the top, there is no doubt he will handle the situation correctly.
