Socialite Kim Kardashian has spoken out about how proud she is of her family for having the self control and inner power to avoid the temptation of drugs. Kim claims that her family have had quite a rocky upbringing, especially with the death of their father to cancer in 2003, and is impressed that they have not been sucked in by the trappings of fame.

Kim also put a lot of the credit down to her positive role models, “It's crazy that none of us have got into drugs, considering the upbringing we've had. But my idols were women like Salma Hayek and Jennifer Lopez, so I gravitated more towards that model,” she told Tatler.
Kardashian also gave a huge amount of credit to her late father Robert Kardashian, who she says was very strict when it came to teaching her and her sisters the value of self worth. Fortunately his teachings were taken on board and Kim, Khloe and Kourtney have all avoided negative temptations.

Kim added, “My dad really set the tone. We weren't allowed credit cards until we were 18, and we could never sleep out on Saturday nights because we had to go to church on a Sunday morning.”
It was recently claimed that Kim Kardashian had become upset upon learning that her ex boyfriend Reggie Bush is starting a family with his new girlfriend.
