Author Talia Soghomonian has released a book detailing the ascent of the Twilight stars over the years, as well as how the Twilight phenomenon grew. In this book, she has detailed interviews with the main three stars, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, and Taylor Lautner.
In the last interview with Stewart before her cheating scandal broke, Soghomonian asks Stewart about Fifty Shades of Grey.
When asked if Stewart has read ‘Fifty Shades’, she replies, “I’ve read large excerpts”
She also says they haven’t approached her for the role of Ana, saying, “Uh, [laughs] first of all, they haven’t called me or anything. They haven’t offered me the part.”
Then, she’s asked about whether she would be ‘brave’ enough to play the part, to which Stewart replies, “I haven’t read it, and so I mean, I know what you are talking about, I’ve definitely read some of ‘those bits’ [laughs]. It’s really nuts, I couldn’t believe it. I see people reading it and I’m like: "Dude you are in public, what are you doing?" [Laughs] But I’m pretty daring. It just takes the right story, and so I don’t know because I haven’t read it. I’m not avoiding it or anything. I just think it’s been made this big deal, so I don’t even know how to answer that question.”
