There are some stars in Hollywood these days who have admitted that they do not actually like to watch themselves back, as they can become to embarrassed or self-conscious, which they feel will have a negative impact on their future work. However, there are also plenty of top Hollywood stars who also love to watch their work back, as it gives them a chance to critique themselves and find out where to improve.
Hollywood actress Kristen Stewart has been working in the acting industry since she was just a young girl and, despite having her critics, the actress claims that the critic who matters the most to her, is herself. Kristen says she always watches her work back, as she wants to become the best she can possibly be.
Stewart was chatting to Culture.com, when she explained, "I've been wanting to make movies forever and I want to direct and write and keep acting forever, so it makes me better to watch the performance. It's enlightening, and not in a technical way - it's not like I go, 'Ooh, I saw my face do this and now I know how to cry onscreen.'"
She added, "It's more like, if you can correlate the experience of making the movie to the final product, it affects how you carry on from that point. I want to lose myself in a role, I want to completely be drawn to things for natural reasons and not consider an audience, but at the same time, I really care that the movie is good. I like the process of making a movie so much that to not finish it wouldn't make sense."
While Kristen Stewart mentioned about directing, and does have some small experience at doing so, we are still waiting to see her directing her first big movie. Let's hope it comes soon.
