Kristen Stewart has admitted that she is not a fan of the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, despite being named as a potential candidate for the role of Anastasia Steele.
Speaking during an interview, the actress said she thought it was horrifying and wasn't able to get past the first chapter. "I’ve skimmed parts of it. When I read the first few pages describing her messy hair, I was like, ‘This is so strange.’ But it’s just so raunchy! I mean, obviously, everyone knows that but when I see people reading it on planes and stuff, I’m genuinely creeped out. Like, you’re basically reading porn right now! Get that blanket off your lap!"
The erotic novel began life as Twilight fan fiction, which means the main character Anastasia Steele is actually based on Kristen’s Twilight character Bella Swan. However the 22 year old has laughed off rumours that she will be playing the virginal student in the upcoming film.
And Robert Pattinson is expected to be out of the running to play mysterious businessman Christian Grey, thanks to his heavy workload. The pair are reportedly reconciled after pictures where published of Kristen being intimate with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders.
Unsuprisingly the couple are keeping quiet about the alleged reunion. When asked whether they were back together on the US Today show on Wednesday she repsonded with the vague answer: "Keep 'em guessing."
