Well, well, well. If it is not Kylie Minogue having a little dig at the show that she herself is actually an important part of. Kylie Minogue was a coach on the UK version of the hit television series The Voice, before deciding to leave her role on the show and head back to her native Australia, where she is now a coach on the Australian version of The Voice.
Kylie Minogue has now been comparing The Voice UK to The Voice Australia and it looks like it is pretty clear where her loyalties now lie. Kylie was full of praise for The Voice Australia, claiming that the show has a huge feeling about it, with plenty of glitz and glamour.
Minogue told Sydney Morning Herald, "Apart from because I'm home, here [in Australia] it feels much more of a commercial show, more spectacular, almost gladiatorial. It's kind of bigger and glitzier with a much smaller population we do it much bigger, and I have to say, the quality of the contestants is pretty extraordinary."
Meanwhile though, Kylie Minogue also went on to talk about The Voice UK, where she was less than complimentary about the show. Kylie states that working on the series in the UK was much more difficult, as the weather was a lot colder than she was used to.
Minogue added, "We were in Manchester in a nice studio, but it's smaller and it's darker and it's 4pm, icy cold. When we started to film the blind auditions in Australia it was January, so it was a beautiful day. It's a blue sky, everyone's happy, you're walking around in your songs."
The Voice Australia has yet to hit the live shows and it is still unclear whether Kylie Minogue will sign on for a second season of the show.
