It appears that The X Factor USA judging panel is set to change for the third time in three years, as LA Reid has confirmed that he will not be returning next season. LA praised Simon Cowell, saying he has a lot of respect for him but admitted that he needs to get back to running his company.

Talking to Access Hollywood, Reid said, “I have decided that I will not return to The X Factor next year. I have a company to run that I've kind of neglected. It saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit.”
Meanwhile, The Hollywood Reporter quote Reid as saying, “I have the utmost respect for Simon Cowell. He is the very best, and I have had the opportunity to learn so much from him. Working with him on X Factor has been a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I'm honoured to have sat on the panel with such incredible talent.”

Two of the judges from last season, Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul, were replaced for this season by Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. It is unclear who will replace LA Reid for the next season of The X Factor and whether Britney and Demi will stay on for a second season.
