It has been confirmed that singer Lady Gaga has had to cancel the remaining 25 dates on her Born This Way Ball tour, as she has become very ill. Lady Gaga initially cancelled four of her upcoming dates, as she attempted to recover her illness but has now admitted that she will need much longer to fully recover.
Lady Gaga has cancelled her tour
The official statement on Lady Gaga's website reads:
Live Nation Global Touring has confirmed that the remainder of the Lady Gaga 'Born This Way Ball' performances have been cancelled. After additional tests this morning to review the severity of the issue, it has been determined that Lady Gaga has a labral tear of the right hip. She will need surgery to repair the problem, followed by strict down time to recover. This unfortunately, will force her to cancel the tour, so she can heal. Refunds for the cancelled performances will be available at point of purchase starting Feb 14, 2013.
Lady Gaga is struggling to walk
Lady Gaga is said to be suffering from an illness known as Synovitis, which is the inflammation of the joints and is making it difficult for Lady Gaga to walk. While it does sound like a serious illness, with plenty of rest and the right medical treatment, Lady Gaga should make a full recovery.
