As the talk and excitement of the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wedding begins to wind down, now that the couple have finally tied the knot, talk has now turned to other aspects of the big occasion. The past few days have seen a lot of talk about singer Lana Del Rey, who performed three songs at the Kanye West and Kim Kardashian wedding.
Initially it was claimed that Lana Del Rey refused the opportunity to perform at the ceremony, although she clearly had a change of heart, as she was there giving it her all for the big day. This led to many questions about what made Lana Del Rey change her mind, with many people suggesting that it must have had something to do with how much she was getting paid.
That idea was quick to spread around the internet and it was not long before a figure was plucked out of the air. It was reported that Lana Del Rey was paid a staggering $2.8m to perform her three songs at the Kim Kardashian and Kanye West wedding, although it now seems that these rumours are completely untrue.
Lana Del Rey has now spoken out to defend her performance at the ceremony, insisting that the rumours are complete nonsense and that she sang at the wedding for free, as she considers the two stars good friends of hers, "I would never let a friend pay me to sing at a wedding," she explained.
As for her music career, Lana Del Rey is preparing to release her new album, which will drop on June 16. We look forward to hearing it.
