Ever since Disney confirmed that they would be making a new Star Wars movie, after they bought LucasFilm, there have been plenty of rumours and discussions about who will be returning from the original trilogy and whether there was any need for any of them to come back.

Since then, it has been confirmed the main trio from the original Star Wars trilogy, Harrison Ford as Han Solo, Mark Hamill as Luke Skywalker and Carrie Fisher as Princess Leia, have all signed on to appear in Star Wars: Episode VII. Now, it seems that another member of the original cast will return.
It had previously been rumoured that Billy Dee Williams would return to play Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode VII and now, it appears that those rumours may well have come true. Billy was recently talking at a Monster Mania Convention, when he confirmed that he had been asked to return to the Star Wars franchise.

Unfortunately, Billy Dee Williams would not say whether he was going to accept the offer or not but we certainly hope to see Lando Calrissian in Star Wars: Episode VII, even if it is only in a small role.
