It has been claimed that actor Billy Dee Williams could be set to return to the role of Lando Clarissian for the Star Wars: Episode 7 film, which is currently being written. Lando is not the first character to be tipped for a return and it is unlikely that he will be the last.

A supposed insider was asked by Movie Hole about the current script that is being written and they simply replied, “No idea. Just Luke, Leia, Han, Lando.” These few words have sent everybody into overdrive, as the mention of Lando is the first we have really heard about him appearing in Star Wars: Episode 7.

Up until now, there has been plenty of talk about the possibility of Luke Skywalker, Princess Leia and Han Solo returning but now it seems that Lando Calrissian can also be added to the list. It would be a worthy addition to the script, as Lando played a big part in helping to bring down the empire in Return of the Jedi.

So far, Star Wars: Episode 7 is still in the very early stages of pre-production but we already know that Michael Arndt will be penning the script and Kathleen Kennedy will be producing the film. There is yet to be a director brought on board but Brad Bird recently pulled out of the running for the job.

Star Wars: Episode 7 is expected to be released in 2015.
