When it comes to sport, it is fair to say that skiing does not really get as much attention as it really does deserve, as it is a very faced pace and exciting sport, with some very impressive stars. One of the biggest names in the world of skiing would have to be the very beautiful, talented and successful star Lara Gut, who really is at the very top of the sport.
One of the biggest events on the ski calendar would have to be the World Ski Championships and it is something that Lara Gut has been looking forward to for quite a while now. Unfortunately, Lara suffered a fall recently, which led to question marks over the World Ski Championships 2017, but she has arrived, is fighting through the injuries and is performing well, giving hopes that she could well leave victorious.
Gut explained, "This week has gone a bit differently as planned. My shoulder is okay, hand is okay and leg is okay, quite blue but blue spots are nothing special. I don’t have the feeling I’m at the start alone. We’ll all give our best. I don’t feel the pressure, I have nothing to lose, defend or to save. I just have to ski fast, that’s my goal. If at the end of the day I know I did my best that’s alright. I going to be focused on my Skiing and doing what I can. There’s nothing to invent, nothing to find, no answer to find in the sky. I just have to ski and show what I can [do]."
Lara Gut managed to take the bronze medal in the Super G at the World Ski Championships 2017, which many are hoping is just the start of what could be a medal rush over the course of the rest of the events.
