Laura Carmichael and the cast of "Downtown Abbey" have been appearing at promotional junkets throughout the United States for the show which returns to television on Jan 4, 2015.
During the interviews with the press it has become apparent that Laura Carmichael has had to be very careful about what she says about her character, Lady Edith to avoid oversharing and spoiling the show and as a result some fans and entertainment observers are speculating that while she has been a star on the show since she arrived this season might be the one that results in her truly surprising observers with her dramatic range.
One interesting aspect that has developed with her being part of the promotional tour in the United States is that she has become a favourite of many US male tv viewers as her name is being discussed as one of the more attractive women on television.
The rumours have been rampant that there are big changes coming to the show and with her prominent role at the majority of the promotional events it suggests that her character will be the one who will be the focus of much of the changes.
The attractive actress is enjoying a very successful month of July 2014 as not only is she being heavily promoted as one of the stars of "Downtown Abbey" but the charity which she supports, the Bromley-based Haiti Hospital Appeal has received a government grant of GBP 250,000 to help save lives in Haiti.
She travelled to Haiti last year and after seeing the poverty conditions she became part of the charity to help mothers and babies receive safe births in Haiti and as such the award of this grant is in her eyes one more necessary step to achieve the goal of this charitable organization.
In addition she is part of the highly anticipated film "Madame Bovary" which represents her second big screen project in a feature role.
Keep your eye on Laura Carmichael because she is an actress whose career and public profile are moving forward at a pace which suggests that something big is on the horizon for her and it is something very good.
