It is fair to say that the beautiful and talented Canadian actress Laura Vandervoort is always going to be best remembered for playing the role of Kara in the hit series Smallville, which really went a long way towards launching her career and making her a household name. However, Laura has done a lot more since then and is proving that there is more to her than just Smallville.
The most recent project that we saw Laura Vandervoort in was the surprisingly impressive television series Bitten, which aired its first season earlier in the year. Bitten aired in Canada on their Space channel, before then going on to get picked by by the Syfy channel in the US. Following the success of Bitten season one, it was confirmed that the show had been picked up for a second season.
Bitten season two is now filming in and around Toronto, Canada and, as well as seeing the return of Laura Vandervoort, the new season also sees the addition of some new faces. Tammy Isbell joins the cast of Bitten as coven leader Ruth Winterbourne, while Tommie-Amber Pirie will play her daughter. Meanwhile, Kiara Glasco has also joined as Savannah Levine.
As well as joining Laura Vandervoort in Bitten season two, Tammy Isbel, Tommie-Amber Pirie and Kiara Glasco will also join the likes of Greyston Holt, Greg Bryk, Paul Greene, Steve Lund, Michael Xavier, and Genelle Williams in the show. It has not yet been announced when we can expect the Bitten season two premiere but we will keep you posted on any updates that happen.
