While it feels like the superhero movies are beginning to take over the Hollywood movie industry, it is beginning to feel like reality television shows are taking over the small screen, with a whole host of different reality television shows around these days. As if there are not enough reality television shows already, The King of Queens actress Leah Remini debuted her reality television series earlier this month.
The Leah Remini reality television series is titled It's All Relative and, like most reality shows, it follows Leah in her day-to-day life and gives us a good look at her family life. Leah has now opened up about It's All Relative, admitting that she was not surprised that her mother has become the star of the show, as she has always felt that she should be.
Remini explained, "She always thought she was a star, so this is just giving her more ammunition. When I asked her to do it, she’s like ‘of course, Leah, I always thought I was the real talent of this family’."
As well as praising her mother for being the star of It's All Relative, Leah Remini also went on to talk about how her reality television series compares to others that are around at the moment. Leah says that, while some reality shows come across as scripted and serious, It's All Relative is more of a fun show.
Remini added, "I think the difference here is that it’s not a drama, we’re not creating drama, and it’s not scripted. It’s just our very normal, abnormal I should say life…it’s not that serious, it’s not that deep, it’s just supposed to make you laugh."
It's All Relative airs on Thursday nights at 10pm on TLC.
