Singer LeAnn Rimes met her husband Eddie Cibrian on the set of the TV movie Northern Lights, which they filmed together back in 2009. The two of them hit it off straight away and, despite the fact that they both had partners, they started having an intimate relationship. It was not long before both LeAnn and Eddie left their partners and they have since become married. Now, LeAnn has been talking about the whole experience, claiming that it inspired her music.

Rimes told Loose Women, "We were both married to other people and we went through the whole affair and thank God it turned out, it came out in my music and I really didn't set out to do that. It was very cathartic. Life happens and it was amazing, even though it was crappy at times, but it gave me a lot to write about and I took my time. I wrote nine of the 13 songs on the record. It's personal but at the same time I feel like I'm not the only one that has been through what I've been through."
She added, "I'm telling my story. I feel like there's been a piece of tape over my mouth for a while, you know growing up in this business is a weird way to grow up and you try to please everyone else and this time around I feel like I've nothing to lose by telling the truth. And it felt very liberating. My single 'Borrowed' is kind of takes an in-depth look into that situation and it wasn't pretty. And I think it was so honest to that song that it kind of opened up a door."
