Former Gossip Girl actress Leighton Meester met former The O.C. actor Adam Brody on the set of the 2011 movie The Oranges and the couple hit it off right away. Leighton Meester and Adam Brody soon began dating and back in February this year, it was confirmed that the couple had tied the knot in a secret ceremony.
Adam Brody and Leighton Meester have been enjoying their personal life together, while also working together on the upcoming movie Life Partners, which features at the Tribeca Film Festival this week. Leighton has been talking working with Adam again admitting that, while she is obviously biased, she thinks he is brilliant in the film.
Meester explained to Newsday, "That pesky guy. That came along just by chance. I was like, 'I'm gonna be playing the person you're not dating. That OK? I'm gonna be playing the opposite of that.' And yeah, I'm biased -- but he's incredible in it."
She then went on to talk about filming the project, revealing that there was a lot of improv involved in the movie, "It was the best. We basically got to say whatever came to our minds. There was a lot of improv."
Life Partners has been directed by Sussana Fogel, who also had a hand in writing the screenplay for the movie with Joni Lefkowitz, and centres around two codependent best friends - one straight girl, one lesbian - and the man who comes between them. Life Partners does not yet have an official release date but will premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival this week.
