The "Game of Thrones" Lena Headey has been announced as one of the Emmy nominees for the Best Drama Supporting Actress Award and fans of this English actress are thrilled at what they feel is a long overdue honour.
The actress has often been overlooked for this honour because some critics felt that her character only showed the villainous side of her personality and not a complete range of emotions. However, in 2014 some critics feel that the showing of her being emotionally devastated after the death of her son is what finally woke up the voters to her impressive dramatic range that she has been displaying since she first started with the series in 2011.
This Emmy nomination is not the only accolade that the actress has received in the past month. She also recently received the Ischia Fantasy Award in Italy also for her outstanding performance as Cersei Lannister.
These accolades have some fans and entertainment observers thinking that the actress who already is acknowledged as one of the more talented actresses will soon be looked at for other roles other than the villain.
She has proven that she can play the villain exceptionally well but for some fans and observers there is the thought that she has the talent and looks to be a leading lady in a dramatic, femme fatale role or even as a romantic leading lady and this recognition could help her be chosen for projects which will show her versatility as an actress.
Lena Headey's exceptional acting is being recognized with nominations, awards and soon, fans hope with substantial leading lady roles in a variety of different projects.
