British singer Leona Lewis has become a global superstar, since breaking onto the scene in the hit singing competition The X Factor. Leona has now admitted that she is glad that her fans have been there with her to see her grow and develop as an artist.
Lewis explained to the BBC, “I think it's a good relationship. Obviously, during The X Factor people got to know me quite a bit and they got to see a journey unfold before them. I feel like people feel very invested in me. I've always been very genuine and just myself - and I think people respect that.”
Leona then went on to say that she does not pay too much attention to her record sales but knows when they have done well, “I don't really - I just know when something has done really, really well. I kind of just know off of that really. I don't look in-depth at statistics and stuff,” she added.
Leona Lewis is arguably the most successful artist to ever from The X Factor, having sold millions of records around the World. However, she has recently faced competition from One Direction, who have taken the World by storm and have become the biggest boyband on the planet.
