Leona Lewis has been mostly away from the media spotlight since she revealed in a very open and surprising September 2014 letter that she was battling depression and the impact that it had on her personal life and career.
However, she showed her fans and the media that she is ready to return to her singing career with her appearance at the Fayre of St. James Christmas concert which was presented by Quintessentially Foundation in aid of Rays of Sunshine at St. James Church in London.
She looked sensational in a loose-fitting white wrap dress with peep toe heels while she posed with children at the event. She not only looked great but she reportedly sounded amazing in her return to the stage where she showcased her incredible singing skills.
One of the great things that came from her appearance was that afterward she updated her followers on the progress she has made and let fans known that she had taken more control of her career and is no longer waiting for others to tell her what the next step in her career will be.
She realized that one cannot allow their label to lead them in every way and as a songwriter she could not put a date on inspiration as she did not know when and where it would come from as it is something a person feels.
Sometimes a person has to remove themselves from a situation to get 'inspired' and that is what has happened for Leona Lewis as she has now written new material with some songs about her overcoming the battles of depression.
If her new material sounds anything similar to how she looked it is very likely that Leona Lewis is going to be returning back to the top of the UK singing charts.
