The 8th Annual Clinton Global Citizen Awards took place on Sunday and the stars were out in full force, along with a number of global leaders and philanthropists. While Seth Meyers was the man hosting the event, there were plenty of other stars in attendance, including the likes of Idris Elba, Eva Longoria, Sting and his wife Trudie, plus many more.
Another Hollywood movie star who was at the event was Leonardo DiCaprio, who was one of the people to be presented with one of the prestigious awards. Leonardo was presented with his award by World Wildlife Fund CEO Carter Roberts and, when he collected it, the actor made sure to make a few points to the crowds about the difference that they too can make.
While speaking at the event, DiCaprio said, "Climate change is compromising the very livability of our planet. Less than three percent of all philanthropic giving goes toward protecting and preserving our environment." It is fair to say that Leonardo DiCaprio did make an effort with his dapper suit but he still looked a bit scruffy, with his long hair tied up in a bun and a full face of beard.
As far as his career goes, Leonardo DiCaprio has a whole host of projects lined up for the coming years, along with his acting roles and his producing work. One of the projects that we are most looking forward to seeing is the television series adaptation of the hit novel Shutter Island, which Leonardo will produce on through Appian Way.
What do you think of Leonardo DiCaprio's new scruffy look?
