Paraguayan Olympic athlete Leryn Franco, who was voted the sexiest woman at the London 2012 Olympics, could be set for a career in acting, following the Rio 2016 Olympics. Leryn recently got her first taste of acting, starring in the title role of the movie Eliza Lynch - Queen of Paraguay and she is said to have done a fantastic job.
Director Alan Gilsenan explained, "We were blessed in having Leryn Franco. A controversial choice perhaps. Why, some might ask - would you choose a Paraguayan athlete and model to impersonate a young Irish woman?"
He added, "But it seemed to me that there was something inherently right about the presence of Eliza being personified by two powerful women of the two nations in his heart. And Leryn took the job with a seriousness and sensitivity that really impressed me."
Leryn Franco certainly has the looks to make it as an actress and it will be interesting to see whether she takes on anymore acting roles in the coming years, building up to the Rio 2016 Olympics. Leryn Franco will be 34 by the time the Rio 2016 Olympics come around, so pursuing a new career path now could well be a good choice.
Do you think Leryn Franco has what it takes to be a top actress?
