Lesley Anne Down has recently revealed that she was not well paid for her role as Lady Georgina Worsley in the 1970s British drama Upstairs Downstairs. The drama has been remade and is set to be screened at Christmas. Despite not earning much money from her time in the show, Lesley Anne remembers her time on the show fondly and says she has many happy memories of the crew and other cast members that she worked with.
Her most recent role was in the U.S daytime soap The Bold and Beautiful where she played the role of Jackie Monroe Knight from 2003 - 2012. She left the show when her character moved to New York. She had previously starred in a number of other daytime soaps including Sunset Beach and Days Of Our Lives.
After rising to fame in Upstairs Downstairs she landed a number of movie roles such as The First Great Train Robbery with Sean Connery and Hanover Street with Harrison Ford. She also starred in TV mini series' North and South and The Last Days of Pompeii.
Lesley Anne Down has come a long way from her humble beginnings on Upstairs Downstairs. She currently lives in Hollywood with her third husband Don. E. Fauntleroy and the couple have recently celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary.
