Over the years we have seen a number of different movie reboots, remakes, prequels, and sequels, which has led to some people to question the lack of originality in the movie industry. One such project that is getting a makeover is the classic National Lampoon's Vacation movie, which is putting quite the impressive cast together.
It has already been reported that Ed Helms, Christina Applegate, and Chris Hemsworth are all on board to for the Vacation remake, while it looks like another big name star has signed up. It has been reported that actress Leslie Mann is the latest Hollywood star to sign up to the project, which gives hope to the movie.
We are pretty sure that most of you are familiar with the original National Lampoon's Vacation movie, which this Vacation remake is based on but, for those of you who are not, the movie centres around a young father named Rusty Griswold, who decides to get his family together and take them on a vacation, which does not exactly go to plan.
Ed Helms will take on the role of Rusty Griswold, while Christina Applegate will play his wife Debbie Griswold, with Leslie Mann signed up to play the role of his sister Audrey Griswold, and Chris Hemsworth playing Stone Crandall. Vacation is being penned by Horrible Bosses screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldestein, who will also direct the movie.
While we are not usually fans of remakes, we think that the Vacation remake could be one that will actually work. Are you looking forward to seeing the Vacation remake?
