What do Lewis Hamilton, Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel all have in common? Well, yes they have all won Formula One world championships but did you know that they were all former participants in the Karting World Championships?
Well, the Karting World Championships have thrown up a lot of talent over the years and it will be interesting to see how this year’s crop of young talent fair. The Karting World Championship finals are set to take place at the Kartodromo de Macau from October 10-21.
Some of the names to look out for at this year’s Karting World Championship finals are 20 year old Italian Flavio Camponeschi, Japan’s Daiki Sasaki, Felice Tiene and former Karting World Champion Davide Fore. Either one of them could be crowned the champion and all have the potential to become future F1 drivers.
Whether or not any of these young prospects has what it takes to become a future Formula One world champion remains to be seen but if you are anywhere near China from October 10-21, we suggest you head over to Macau and check out the next generation.
