British McLaren driver Lewis Hamilton has revealed that he is expecting the 2012 Formula One world championship to be one of the most competitive ever. With 6 former world champions lining up on the grid this season, it is definitely not short of talent and is expected to be very competitive.
Hamilton explained, “I think so. It can’t be much harder that it has been in the last couple of years but I’m sure it will be probably the most competitive year, especially with testing, all the teams seem to be really close.” Lewis then picked out a few teams to watch.

He added, “Lotus, Mercedes, Ferrari, even Force India look quite quick, Williams look quite quick, a lot quicker than they were last year. So I think that the competition is going to be very intense.” So does Lewis Hamilton believe that winning the 2012 Formula One world championship will be a big achievement?
“Definitely” he states. The 2012 Formula One world championship is set to get underway this weekend in Melbourne, Australia. All of the 2012 F1 teams and drivers will be looking to get the season off to a good start.
