The career of actress Li Bingbing is one that is continuing to go from strength to strength as she keeps signing up for more and more big Hollywood movies that will hit the big screen in the coming year or so. As well as having a role in the upcoming movie Transformers: Age of Extinction, Li Bingbing will also appear in the new Resident Evil movie, reprising her role as Ada Wong.
Li Bingbing played the role of Ada Wong in the Paul W.S. Anderson movie Resident Evil: Retribution and the writer and director has confirmed that she will return for his new Resident Evil movie which is being titled Resident Evil Rising. It is another big movie role for Li Bingbing as her list of Hollywood credits continue to grow and impress.
It is no real surprise that Paul W.S. Anderson has decided to make a return to the Resident Evil franchise, considering his latest movie Pompeii has been considered a bit of a flop, only managing to gross $84m worldwide so far. Meanwhile, Resident Evil: Retribution has taken an impressive $239m since its release back in 2012.
As well as seeing the return of Li Bingbing in Resident Evil 6, it is also expected that we will see the likes of Milla Jovovich, Wentworth Miller, Ali Larter, Sienna Guillory, Shawn Roberts and Johann Urb all reprising their roles for the movie. There is no official news as to when the new Resident Evil film will begin production, or an official release date confirmed but it has been suggested that production will begin later in the year, with a 2015 release date being targeted.
