Actor Liam Neeson has revealed how 500 sailors stood to attention and saluted him when he boarded one of the ships used to film his new movie Battleship. Liam admitted that he had to tell them that he was actually just an actor and not a real commander.
Neeson explained, "On my first day on the set in Hawaii, there I was dressed up in my impressive uniform, walking on board the ship to address 500 cadets but, unbeknownst to me, all the extras were real naval personnel and, because I had all this stuff on, everybody stood to attention."
He added, "I said: 'No, no, no, it's Liam - not sir!'. Even if you have to find the bathroom, they all stand." Actress Rihanna, who stars alongside Liam Neeson in Battleship, recently revealed what she would be bringing to the movie.
Liam Neeson stars in Battleship alongside Rihanna, Taylor Kitsch, Brooklyn Decker and Alexander Skarsgard. Battleship is based on the classic Hasbro game and the movie has been directed by Peter Berg. Battleship is set to be released in the UK on April 11 before being released in the US on May 18.
