One Direction singer Liam Payne has admitted that he does not drink beer because he simply cannot stand the taste of it. That does not mean that Liam is not fond of the odd alcoholic tipple though, as he also stated that he has found himself a little tipsy on occasions.
Liam was not old enough to enjoy such celebratory drinks when One Direction were first put together but since becoming legally old enough to drink booze, Liam has dabbled in a beverage or two. Yet he puts it down to just being part of the lifestyle that comes with being famous.
Payne explained, “I still wouldn't go to the bar and actually order a drink. That's not the person I am. I definitely wouldn't drink beer - I hate it. It's horrible.” Then, talking about getting tipsy, he added, “A few times I have done, yeah. You have to get used to being off the cuff and very spontaneous. That's kind of what our life is like.”
All of the members of One Direction, Liam Payne (19), Louis Tomlinson (20), Niall Horan (19), Zayn Malik (19) and Harry Styles (18) are legally allowed to consume alcohol in the UK but, unfortunately for all of them, the legal drinking age in the US is 21, meaning none of them can yet legally drink.
