They often say that talent runs in the family and that is certainly the case for the Allen family, as British actor Keith Allen has clearly passed on the talent gene to his children. Following in his footsteps, Keith's son Alfie Allen also went down the acting route, while his daughter Lily Allen is a talented and successful musician.
Alfie Allen plays the role of Theon Greyjoy in the hit HBO fantasy drama series Game of Thrones and now Lily Allen has revealed how she was offered the chance to play the role of his sister Yara Greyjoy in the show. Lily has admitted that she decided to turn down the offer of to play the character once she found out just what the role involved.
Lily explained, "They asked me if I'd be interested in playing Theon's sister, and I felt uncomfortable because I would have had to go on a horse and he would have touched me up and s**t. Once they told me what was entailed, I said no thanks." The role of Yara Greyjoy eventually went to actress Gemma Whelan.
As for Lily Allen, she is continuing to work on her music career, bringing us plenty of new music for us to enjoy, while she also recently confirmed that she will be touring the US later in the year, her first US tour in five years. The tour will run for 19 dates starting in Miami and September 19, and ending in Los Angeles on October 10.
Meanwhile you can continue to see Alfie Allen as Theon Greyjoy in Game of Thrones, which is now in its fourth season and airs on HBO on Sunday evenings.
