It has been reported that Abduction actress Lily Collins has pulled out of starring in the remake of the 1981 Sam Raimi movie Evil Dead. Lily was being lined up to portray the character Mia in the remake of the Horror movie but has been forced to pull out of the project due to unforeseen scheduling conflicts, meaning a new Mia will need to be cast.
The Evil Dead remake centres around five friends who unknowingly unleash an evil curse after they foolishly decide to open the Book of the Dead, while they are holidaying at a remote cabin in the forest. The project will be directed by Fede Alvarez, who will be working with a script penned by Diablo Cody and Rodo Sayagues, which has been described as unbelievably violent.
Sam Raimi, along with the original Evil Dead star Bruce Campbell and Rob Tapert are all set to be producing on the Evil Dead remake. As for Lily Collins, she can next be seen on the big screen starring alongside Julia Roberts and Armie Hammer in the Tarsem Singh Snow White movie Mirror Mirror, which is released on March 16, 2012.
