There has been a lot of rumours going around in the past few weeks about Lindsay Lohan portraying legendary actress Elizabeth Taylor in the movie Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story, which is based on her life. This has caused outrage among fans of the late actress, who claim that Lindsay Lohan is not a suitable choice. Many people have questioned Lindsay’s ability to play Elizabeth and, while there are obvious differences between the two, there are actually also some interesting similarities.
Speaking of the similarities, Jessica Grose stated, "Both had domineering stage mother, little semblance of a real childhood, fame from a young age, substance abuse issues, public emotional outpourings, and copious amounts of tabloid drama." She then went on to discuss the differences between Lindsay Lohan and Elizabeth Taylor.
Jessica added, "The key difference between Lohan and Taylor is that Elizabeth Taylor had a true record of achievement. She had made almost 30 movies by the time she and Burton were making headlines." The script for Elizabeth & Richard: A Love Story is being penned by Christopher Monger. Whether or not Lindsay Lohan does get the part of Elizabeth is still to be confirmed.
