Over the course of the past few years we have seen a number of new and exciting characters being brought to the big screen as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which continues to keep comic book fans on the edge of their seats, looking forward to seeing which new Marvel characters we will see adapted for the big screen.
With the Marvel movie sequel Avengers: Age of Ultron being released next year, we already know that we will get to see Scarlet Witch, who will be played by Elizabeth Olsen, and Quicksilver, being played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson, but there have still been plenty of rumours about other new characters that are likely to appear.
In recent years we have had a lot of fans calling for Miss America to e brought to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and it looks like their prayers have finally been answered. With that said, it is unlikely that the fans are going to be very pleased with Marvel and Joss Whedon's choice of actress to play the role.
It has been confirmed that actress Lindsay Lohan has been cast in the role of Miss America for Avengers: Age of Ultron. Lindsay Lohan will appear as Miss America in one of the end credit scenes of Avengers: Age of Ultron. While there is not a great deal known about what the scene will involve, it is expected that Nick Fury will introduce her to the other characters, with Miss America having word of a new villain, which will ultimately lead into The Avengers 3.
Avengers: Age of Ultron opens on May 1, 2015 in both the US and the UK.
