Lindsay Lohan almost missed her court appearance today, which would have surely resulted in an arrest and guaranteed jail time. Fortunately or unfortunately, depending on how you look at it, Lohan has managed to avoid jail time by agreeing to a last minute plea deal and will instead spend 90 days in lockdown rehab.

Many news outlets, including TMZ, were at the courthouse today and kept up a running update on everything that was going on inside. Reportedly, after she turned up late and lots of offers and counteroffers were put on the table, Lohan pled no contest to the charges of lying to cops and reckless driving.
Lindsay's lawyer and Lindsay were also reportedly haggling in full view of the courtroom. Lindsay supposedly told him, "Don't say anything else" and when he kept talking, she apparently said, "Oh my god, I'm going to kill you."

In addition to the 90 days of lockdown rehab, Lindsay will spend 30 days in community labor and another 18 months of psychotherapy. The report includes that Lindsay will be able to do the rehab in New York, but she will have to submit for drug testing every so often. The judge also gave a bit of parting advice to Lindsay, telling her simply, "Don't drive." Knowing Lindsay, she probably won't listen and end up at the court again within the next couple of months.
