When it was revealed three years ago that Mean Girls actress Lindsay Lohan was in a relationship with Samantha Ronson, many just put it down to another attention seeking stunt. Lindsay has now opened up about the romance, claiming that it was never going to work but she is glad she was bold enough to attempt the relationship.
Lohan told US Weekly, “Two toxic people cannot be together. End of story. We're friends now. That's how it started so I think that's how it was meant to be. I was bold enough to say, 'Yeah, I like a girl. And?' That put her in a situation where she was being attacked every day. That's not fair. And what am I left with? Heartbreak. That was three years ago. It was my last serious relationship.”
Lindsay also opened up about her old partying ways, claiming that she let too many bad influences into her life because she was feeling so lonely. She added, “It took a while but it's like, what was I thinking? Why did I allow so many sycophants and bad influences to be around me? I was lonely and I didn't realise it.”
Lindsay Lohan is set to appear in the TV movie Liz and Dick, where she plays Elizabeth Taylor. Lindsay recently admitted that she is putting any romance on hold, as she focuses on her career in a bid to win an Oscar.
