Lindsay Sloane has been acting for a long time, and to most people, she's recognizable enough that they know her face but may not really be able to place her name or specific role. She's probably best known for 'Sabrina, The Teenage Witch', 'Bring It On', 'She's Out Of My League', and 'Horrible Bosses'.
Loane's definitely better known as a comedic actress, and she's quite a talented one at that. However, her career seems to have slowed down after Horrible Bosses came out in 2011. She's since acted in a few episodes of Weeds, was in the indie film 'The Darling Companion' in 2012, and made brief guest appearances in 'Psych', 'Ben and Kate', and 'The League'. However, she's not acted in anything since 2012, which could be due to the birth of her daughter.
Her daughter was born in January 2012, which makes sense when you think of the timing of her roles. Whatever came out in 2012 would have already been filmed and ready to go before 2012, which means that Lindsay's actually been quiet on the acting front since the beginning of 2012. She's probably spending time with her daughter before she gets back to acting, which many actors and actresses do.
Despite the difficulty and competitiveness of the business, they obviously want to spend time with their newborn babies. Also, Lindsay's established enough of a name for herself that it won't really be difficult to return to the acting scene on a moment's notice. Also, she's probably locked for Horrible Bosses 2, which is already in development.
