There are a lot of channels and online streaming sites these days, that are choosing to come up with their own original material, rather than continually air the work of others. In the past few years we have seen the likes of VH1 and Netflix, to name just a couple, come up with their own original series and now it looks like somebody else has decided to follow suit.
Bravo are not known for their original television series, because of the simple fact that they have never done one, but things are about to change, as they have confirmed that they have their own original series in the works. The show will be called Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce and it looks like Bravo are already putting together a fairly decent cast for it.
Bravo recently announced that their three leading ladies in Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will be Lisa Edelstein, Janeane Garofalo and Beau Garrett. Not too bad eh? Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will centre around a newly divorced woman as she returns to the single life and embarks on the next chapter of her life.
Marti Noxon wrote the pilot for Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce and will act as a producer on the show, while Dawn Olmstead, Vicki Iovine, Meryl Poster and Adam Brooks will serve as executive producers for the series. Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce will begin shooting this year and will premiere on Bravo in 2015. It has been confirmed that there will be 13 episodes in the first season and there are high hopes that Girlfriends' Guide to Divorce can become a success.
